Although better known for its furniture and home accessories, this store is a must to visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Recently remodeled, this furniture store in north central Kansas created a small food section, complete with a coffee lounge and baked goods. Specialty cookware, ingredients, and mixes mingle on shelves surrounding the lounge. The smell of fresh baked specialty cookies, scones, or brownies and coffee beckon all. Friday is known as “Pie Day” when warm, fresh-baked slices of pie in flavors such as Gooseberry, Elderberry, or Raspberry-Peach may be purchased in the store, or, a whole frozen pie may be taken home and baked. It recently won a Kansas business of the year award.
